1. How do I become a Doppio Zero Franchisee?
* Complete the contact form on the application or contact page. As you complete and submit it, the full application form will begin to download in PDF format. Please complete this and FAX it to 086 666 4566
* Your application will be reviewed by Doppio Zero Head Office (Doppio Zero Famiglia (Pty) Ltd - DZF) and if you qualify and a suitable site is available, you will be required to enter into a franchise agreement with DZF.
2. How do I qualify for a Doppio Zero Franchise?
* Preferable have experience in the hospitality experience
* Have available funds to set up the business – minimum 50% own funds (not borrowed) and 50% financed
* Have good people and communication skills
* Have a positive attitude/outlook and a proactive approach to problem solving.
* Be prepared to work long hours
3. Who selects the site?
* The Franchisor will select the site but you can identify a potential site and give your input.
4. Who negotiates the Lease?
* The Franchisor negotiates the lease with the landlord but you will have a say in reaching an acceptable deal. You will be required to sign the lease.
5. What does it cost to set up a Doppio Zero?
* A model Doppio Zero of approximately 350 Sqm, without any non standard additions costs approximately R3,500,000 excl Vat.
* Cost vary with the size of the store, exchange rate fluctuations and the landlords contribution
6. Are there any other costs that should be budgeted for over and above the set-up costs?
* Rental deposits or provision for bank guarantee – usually 2 or 3 months rental
* First months rental payable in advance
* Lease fees – Approx R2000
* Stamp Duties – calculated 0.6% of the total rental
* Legal Fees
* Statutory applications (Liquor license, trading license, plan submission)
* Staff Training – staff meals, transport and salaries during training – approx R50,000
* Opening stock – R120,000
* Working Capital – R100,000
7. How much Unencumbered Cash is required and how much can be financed?
* You will be required to invest a minimum of 50% unencumbered funds the balance can be funded via bank loans, asset finance or borrowings. Doppio Zero DZF has pre arranged finance for the Doppio Zero concept. Should you meet the bank requirements they will finance you up to 50% of the set up costs.
8. What is are the Franchise Fees, Royalties and Marketing contribution costs?
* Franchise Fee – R100,000 excl vat payable on signing the franchise agreement
* Royalty – 5.5% of monthly turnover
* Marketing fee – 2.5% of monthly turnover
9. Is the Franchise Agreement Negotiable?
* The terms and conditions in the franchise agreement have been established to maintain and protect the integrity of the brand. The franchise agreement is NOT negotiable
10. What would be my expected return on Investment?
* The return on investment is determined by factors like site location, gearing, lease agreement and operating standard and capabilities to manage your business according to the specified Doppio Zero standards and operating procedures.
* It is very difficult to determine profitability prior to opening. You will be expected to do a detailed cash flow and profit and loss forecast with estimated sales and costs
11. Who recruits my staff?
* The Franchisee is responsible for the recruitment of all staff members. The Franchisor may offer assistance in the matter however, the onus id on the Franchisee to select their team
12. Where will training take place and how long will I expected to train for?
* Training is done at a designated training store which can be in your region if there is an existing store. You may be required to train in Johannesburg at our head office training facility and company store.
* The Franchisee will be expected to train for a minimum period of 4 weeks
13. What can you expect from the Franchisor?
* Design of store, assistance with store set up and initial training of opening team
* Support during opening – DZF will provide support during the opening
* The Franchisor will supply you with its operating manual which includes recipes, operating procedures and documentation for running a successful Doppio Zero restaurant. DZF will develop and update the Operating Manual and procedures
* Provide Product development and menu innovationDop Pizza
* Provide On going training and support
* Supply of Doppio Zero licensed products and supplier information for products needed
* Negotiate prices on your behalf
